Days before, Id been getting feedbacks that FOP is something to look forward to.  Aside from the fact that you could meet fellow freshies and make friends, the emcees were really hilarious.  You'd think that youre in a comedy bar sans the toilet humor, replaced by wit and BRIGHT jokes.

Emcees were Eugene and Jody from Masscom, if im not mistaken.
They instructed us to shout "That's Hot! HAAA!" once they call out our college.  As expected, the engineering hollered the loudest. 

The orientation turned out to be an ego-boosting session. 

Emcee: Alam niyo ba na na UPGRADE na ang ating university? hindi na tayo state universaity, tayo na ang NATIONAL UNIVERSITY. kaisa isa!


Vice Chancellor:  I have to make a clarification, hindi tayo na upgrade.  Pano pa tayo mauupgrade, eh tayo na nga ang BEST?


Vice Chancellor:  66,000...42,000... 12,000... 2,000. if you do the math, that's the upper 3%


Emcee1: o, may tanong dito, "Kung tayo ang National University, eh pano na ang NU?"
Emcee2: Nako mahirap sagutin yan, well, hayaan nalang natin sila. basta tayo ang pinirmahan ng presidente na national university, OKAAY?




Well it uplifted our spirits, but I must say it shouldnt make any student lose his/her grip from the ground.

I think there's nothing wrong with it, as long as it doesnt foul trash talk about other universities. (the NU thing wasnt foul! haha)  Of course, any university would want to build up the school spirit in each student that theyd be holding.  To some, it's helpful in winning a ballgame.. zoom in: it helps in pushing someone up to achieve his dream.
