To keep the class from breaking into an outrage, which is a very normal occurrence when the teacher is not around, I crack up corny jokes...on the platform.
Last Thursday, while waiting for the teacher, I "did" a Gloria joke which I got from Jai. Bentang benta talaga yung joke na yun sakin kaya sobrang feel na feel ko yun. I raised my arms, and knocked on the air and started doing the joke.
Everyone of course, thought out loud accompanied by snickering, laughing. All of a sudden they got silent and looked towards the direction of the door. I thought I heard someone whispered in alarm "Castey!" So I thought it must have been a teacher. But to my horror,
Mrs Bayle was there!! waaahhh! I could see the the puzzled look on her face and if I were her, I would have the look as if to say, "oh dear, Don't worry I will fetch the counselor for you!" (:P joke) Then, she called me and asked who was supposed to be with us and I said I wasn't sure but told one of the officers to ask Mrs Alcabedas. How ever, Mrs Alcabedas was out at the time so she told me to ask Mrs Romero instead. While going down the staircases, I thought, "Phew! Buti nalang napababa ko na si Abby! meehhnn"
When I cam back, we were all laughing at what had just happened. They thought I got reprimanded. Sabi ko hindi naman. I knew Mrs Bayle would not get mad just because a student is joking with her classmates. In fact, when she called me, she didn't ask what I was doing. Instead, she asked my classmates. I think she just didnt want me to be put to shame in front of my classmates by question and I'm very thankful for that. :)
I thank God that I did not wait too long to do what I needed to do.(sending someone to ask Mrs Alcabedas) It's a lesson learned for me, I must do my responsibilites first before goofing around.
Bottomline here is,
don't think that the authorities are here to spoil the fun. They are wise enough to weigh the circumstances...they are not as shallow as most of us think they are. Isn't that the reason why they are the authorites?
